It's time to ride

Today was my first time out on the bike this year.  We had to laugh because 6 miles seemed so hard.  I've done 40-50 a day and Bentley has done 100 a day.  To laugh at ourselves was the only thing we could do.  With the way he is - I guarantee next weekend it will be 20 miles.  He can't stand it and then his tennis elbow will be ruined again but there is nothing to say - just let him have his way.

I had a good week of balance and find it weird to only work for 40 hours a week.  Good weird.  I went to Cinco's last night for a Bon Voyage Party for a friend that is moving to Belgium in 2 weeks.  Last night was a fun group.  I'm going to miss her but look forward to having another friend to hang out with when I visit.  She'll start her of list of US stuff she needs me to bring when I come.  She's a world traveler and now she'll get paid to travel.  I have her on my wish list to go with me to Japan b/c I really have no desire to go unless I'm with her and she takes me to her favorite places.

This is the longest I've gone between visits home.  I miss mom and daddy and being there - hanging out and seeing that things are ok.  I had a doctor appointment this week and just giving my family history bout brought me to tears.  It's all too fresh and I look forward to when this is all far behind us.

Recent Purchases: I picked my brother up some Croc flip flops - they are my favorite and I got Leah and mom a pair so he needs a pair too.  They look like boats so I hope they fit and I think I'll mail them b/c it will be weeks before I see him.  My other recent purchases have been cotton VS gowns.  I love a soft cotton gown in the summer and since its 90 degrees today - its summer.

I'm off to a house warming party and then to have dinner with Bentley.  We are going to our favorite mexican place and will watch all the drunk american's celebrate cinco de mayo and wonder how many even know what it is.  They have the best margaritas and roasted salsa so I'll have 1 margarita but 2 cups of salsa and sit outside and enjoy the weather.  I was telling my Belgium bound friend that Brussels does have a ChiChi's so all is not lost.      Arriba!

Listening : Chaka khan
Feeling: A little sore in the bum and wrists
Needing: To get off the computer and get going
Thinking:  Of all the stuff I have to get done in the next 2 hours
Enjoying:  A Beautiful Saturday
Wondering: Where my watch is
Hoping: Briana is ok and recovers and gets back to her little ones without anymore pain or worry.

Another place I could live if my apartment starts to feel too big.  If it comes with screens, I'll take it.
