Yep - it is an exciting day. I have been helping Bentley clean his house and I think I vacuumed for 2 hours. There is a small dog in the trash. Coco is shedding and it is not pretty. Today we took a walk and Coco went in a small creek - his favorite thing to do in the whole world. Wet dog odor is his specialty. He is so happy it started to rain because I think he was starting to sense there was a bath coming.
I am alternating between laundry, reading and watching tv. Tonight the real excitement will come when I actually cook a meal. It's been a while since I've done that. The menu: Steamed cabbage w/ crushed red pepper and HOT Italian sausage, roasted potatoes, carrots and mushrooms. We will need the veggies to counter the sausage - I could start to sweat just thinking about it.
Tomorrow morning I have another doctor appointment for a physical and it's with someone new. I hate going to the doctor - any doctor and a new one makes me also start to sweat just thinking about it.
I went to my friend's house warming and it was also a jewelry party - WOW that was fun. I had to buy a few things - just to be supportive you understand. Thank goodness I was not able to stay and have a few drinks because I would have probably spent even more. She made the best guacamole. I will be buying the stuff to make it this week because I'm still thinking about it.
No I didn't get any yesterday at the Cinco de Mayo thing at our favorite place. Bentley is usually a pretty patient, calm, nice guy but due to recent events he is on the edge of some real ugliness and I am really hopeful that I won't be around when it happens. He ordered a steak biscuit and got sausage, he ordered a club sub and they didn't remember the bacon, and last night at our FAVORITE mexican restaurant he stated - "I will never come here again!" and he had evil in his eyes. We arrived and found a mass of people. The outside dining was extended and there was a bouncy house. As we entered it was apparent we werent' in Kansas anymore because there were police officers explaining how you have to show your ID and get a band to order a drink. The anxiety started with the crowd and loud music. As we sat down - I wanted to go. Bentley said - no its ok - we'll just see how it goes. Then they are charging double for beer and he is mad b/c they are gouging people due to the party. He agreed we should have left because it was a club feel instead of relaxing dining experience. A club but with kids, and in my opinion kids should not be around that many drunk people and that kind of noise level. I have a feeling the next experience he has where is receives poor service, doesn't get what he expects or is overcharged - he is going to let whoever it is have it. Again - I hope to avoid it but almost wish it would happen soon so he can get it out and we can go back to my favorite place.
