I love that saying and I think of it often when I attend our family reunion. I remember when I was a little girl, my mother and her sisters would get together every so many years to have pictures taken. These are some very cool picture because they are all beautiful and they would always end up in the same pose and so we have a great record of them all together through the years. Us chilluns were smart enough to be scared when the sisters got together for these pictures because these women could become E-V-I-L in a matter of seconds and when they are all together it can be volcanic. Its a similar feeling at reunions. This year we didn't have all our women together but last year we did and it was great. The food is always awesome and this year my mama made the family chocolate bread puddin and the corn puddin. We also had potato salad and bbq pork tenderloin - it makes my mouth water just to think of it. We had tables of food and sweet tea and took over Aunt Eunis' yard to eat, laugh and catch up.
I have quite a few characters in my family and I love it. Normal people are boring. The best part is, all of us think we are the normal ones yet how could that be. I think its a good thing that we are all touched with a little bit of crazy (some more than others). It keeps the boogie man away because he's smart enough not to get too close.
One of my fav men just playin with the kids like always. And one of my fav women takin care of him...Ahhh family.
